The 2018 “Red Boat Cup” Jiaxing Global Entrepreneurship Innovation Competition is about to kick off. It recruits entrepreneurial talents from around the world, and creators who dreams big! The first round，North American competition will be held on July 28 in Manhattan, New York.

As the hosting organization for this competition in North America，North America Chinese Association of Science, Technology & Commerce cordially invites all new ventures focusing on blockchain, mobile payment, new retail, electronic information (electronic components, smart terminals, LED chips, software and information technology Services, etc.), high-end equipment manufacturing (industrial robots and service robots, automotive electronics, smart services, etc.), new energy (photovoltaic, nuclear power, etc.), chemical new materials, energy and environmental protection, fintech, bio-medicine, and other key industries to join the competition.

- Your project has technical threshold
- You are planning to develop your business to Jiaxing, China
- With independent intellectual property rights or invention patents, with mature venture projects and plans, and technical achievements have reached advanced internationally or domestic leading level, leading products have a better market prospects and can implement industrialization priority
- Master degree or above
- Experiences in entrepreneurial work, or have served in management positions in well-known international and chinese companies, and the age is generally not more than 55 years old.
Note: Participants (natural persons) must have not established their enterprises in Jiaxing before July 28, 2018
1) Competition registration: Deadline on July 25, 2018.
2) Qualification and project primaries: The North American Division project’s first round selections will be completed before July 25th. The North American Division will have relevant experts, angel investors and successful entrepreneurs to conduct qualification screenings for the project to be selected for the competition. The pass list will be determined by the scores
3) First round Competition: The North American Division will be held in New York on July 28. Through a 10-minute pitch, 5 minutes Q&A for each projects.
4) Finals: Performed locally in Jiaxing, China According to the score, the first, second, third and best prizes are awarded.
In addition to cash awards, free training, expert reviews, international round-trip travel subsidies, government support, and top-level entrepreneurial resources, the Venture Innovation Competition will also have access to up to 5 million in venture funding.
First Prize: 6 5 million venture capital, cash bonus 30,000 yuan
Second Prize: 10 3 million venture capital, cash bonus 20,000 yuan
Third Prize: 24 2 million business start-up funds, cash bonus 10,000 yuan

Chuanju Liu is a professor at the New York University School of Medicine and director of the Center for Oral Translational Medicine. As Principal Scientist (Principal Investigator), he has conducted more than 20 scientific research projects including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) RO1, and has received more than US$18 million in funding. He has published more than 130 papers in scientific journals and other authoritative journals, and is the chief editor and editorial board member of a number of international academic journals. He served as a fund judge for the NIH and the Department of Defense of the United States, and was also invited to serve as a reviewer for a number of national funds, including the final review judges of major, key, and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Henry Huang is a lifetime business school professor at Yeshiva University. Using accounting data to value a company, entrepreneur finance, shareholder’s liability and corporation finance. Cofounder of CHYS Capital LLC, Mentors for so many starts up especially focusing on AI. He has also been judges for many business planning competition.
Dr. Hui Lei Hui Lei is Director and Chief Technology Officer of IBM Watson Health Cloud, an IBM Distinguished Engineer, and an IBM Master Inventor. He provides leadership on the Watson Health Cloud technical strategy, and spearheads the design and development of the Watson Health Cloud platform. Previously, he was Senior Manager of the Cloud Platform Technologies Department at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, and led IBM's worldwide research strategies in Cloud Infrastructure Services and Cloud Managed Services. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Kaiyuan Wang is a Center Associate of Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, Harvard University. Research Fellow of the Institute of state governance studies, Peking University. Frederick Jiang is Managing Partner and Portfolio Manger at Coalescence Partners, Frederick brings 20 years of global investment experience with a focus on emerging markets and the Asia Pacific region. He is a portfolio manager of the firm’s public equity investments and an investment committee member of the New Hope-Coalescence private equity investments. Prior to Coalescence Partners, Frederick was a Senior Vice President and a Portfolio Manager at Waddell & Reed Financials, one of the oldest fund management companies in the US. Frederick joined Waddell in 1999 as an Asian Equity Analyst, and was named Portfolio Manager in 2003, the youngest portfolio manager at the firm. From 2003 to 2014, Frederick was the portfolio manager for Ivy Pacific Opportunities Fund and received two Lipper Best Fund Awards for the Asia Pacific category in 2010. From 2014 to 2016, he was the co-portfolio manager for Ivy Emerging Market Equity Fund, which was ranked 5-star by Thomson Reuters Lipper. Frederick started his investment career in 1994 as an Equity Research Analyst at ABN Amro HG Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong. Frederick received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Central University of Finance and Economics (China), and an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business.
Mark Tang is a managing director of Good Health Capital, a healthcare private equity firm with offices in Asia and New York. Mark has over two decades of experience in the field of biotechnology as an entrepreneur, educator, advisor and investor. He was formerly a research associate at Rockefeller University, an investment banker, an analyst, and a biotech director at Rutgers Business School. Mark attended University of California, NYU and Harvard.
Dr. Wenseng "Wendy" Pan is a leading life sciences lawyer and a partner of Sidley Austin LLP. Her practice focuses on both public and private mergers and acquisitions, PE/VC financings and she is frequently involved in biotech companies’ pre-IPO restructuring and IPOs. She has represented many well-known PE and VC funds, start-up companies, growth stage and mature companies and multinational companies in a number of landmark transactions in the life sciences industry. Her deep experience and unparalleled knowledge about the industry has enabled her to provide value-added services to her clients. An active figure and leader in the US/China life sciences community, she has been recognized as a “deal broker” by BioWorld Today, by IFLR1000 as a leading lawyer and in Who’s Who Legal: Life Sciences (Transactional). She is a member of the Board of Directors of The BayHelix Group. Dr. Pan received her JD and PhD from Columbia University.
Mr. Chaoping Deng is the CEO of SynMA Capital LLC and hte Chairman of ACA Capital LLC, with 20 years experience in capital markets, advising over 50 companies for the deals closed in IPOs, PEVC and M&A in USA and China. Extensive experience in corporate financing (PEVC) and securities (IPO, and reverse merger, and APO), mergers and acquisitions matters from working as partner of top Law Firms, former US chief Representative & US Funds Partner of Shenzhen Oriental Fortune Capital Co., Ltd.. Graduated from Columbia University, and Sun Yat-sen University, join-program with RUC and PKU. Mr. Deng is a double licensed attorney in New York State and P.R. China (1993).
Quan Liu, Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Google USA Core Search and Knowledge Graph department. He led teams to deliver several Smart Search projects, which covers most countries and districts in the world. Before this Quan also worked on Google Maps’ Search in Europe R&D Headquarter. Quan has B.S in Computer Science, Economics from Peking University, M.S in Engineering Management from UCLA
Dr. Shenliang Wang has extensive experience in medical diagnostics.
During his research at Stanford University and Siemens Healthcare, he developed
novel fluorescent and chemiluminescent detection technologies and published numerous
articles and patents. He received a PhD degree in Chemistry from New York
University and an MBA degree from Yale School of Management.
Dr. Jing Lu is currently Managing Director of China Bridge Capital (CBC) USA Inc., based in NY. China Bridge Capital’s mission is to assist global, disruptive enterprises to launch, form and grow in innovation-oriented cities in China, facilitated by CBC's wide range of financial platforms and services. Previously, Dr. Lu served as Executive Director of the World Markets of CIBC（Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) in New York. She was also a senior bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Prior to her Wall Street career, Dr. Lu was Professor of Economics at York University in Toronto, Canada. She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from the Western University in Canada, Graduate Diploma from Ford Economics Training Program at People's University in Beijing, and M.A. in Economics from Fudan University in Shanghai. Dr. Lu published many books and articles in various economics and finance journals. She was a weekly columnist for the China Securities Journal, a host of a multimedia program <Wall Street Elites Talk>, and a regular contributor to "Modern Banker" and "21st Century Business Herald".
